Biography
Benedicth (Bennie) Onyeka Ukhueduan serves as a Senior IT Auditor in Emory University's Internal Audit Division. In this role, she evaluates technology-related risks, assesses IT controls, and supports audits that strengthen the University's security and compliance posture.
Before transitioning into IT audit, Bennie earned her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of South Carolina and completed postdoctoral research at Emory University School of Medicine in the Division of Pediatrics, where she focused on HIV cure strategies, including combination therapies targeting viral reservoirs. Her scientific background gives her a unique perspective on risk, data integrity, and process optimization.
Outside of work, Bennie is an unapologetically Nigerian-American explorer at heart. She enjoys volunteering at the Georgia Aquarium, ballroom dancing, culinary experiments, and traveling the world—especially for scuba diving adventures. Manta rays are her favorite dive companions.
