Biography
Denys Lu serves as the Director of IT Audit and Audit Analytics at Emory University's Internal Audit Division. In his role, he leads IT audit and audit analytics, including the development of the audit analytics program, leveraging technology such as artificial intelligence and visual analytics to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data used throughout the audit lifecycle. Responsibilities also include developing strategies for continuous auditing, as well as designing internal tools to increase the effectiveness of fraud investigations and evidence discovery.
Before his current position, Denys was the Chief Technology Officer and Director of IT at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University, where he oversaw all aspects of the school's IT infrastructure and operations. He has over 20 years of experience in strategic development and operational leadership, with a focus on using technology to solve complex business challenges. Before joining Emory, Denys worked as a software engineer at various firms, developing mobile applications for field services and text generation, as well as performance optimization for electronic medical records.
He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and a Master Teaching Certificate from Georgia State University, as well as an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Goizueta Business School, and a B.S. in Biology from Emory University. His research interests include IS adoption and maturation, as well as the impact of online social networks on firm financial performance.
