Biography

Randy Slaven serves as the Associate Director for Research Audit and Investigations for Emory University’s Internal Audit Division.  In this role, he is responsible for evaluating internal control effectiveness, risk assessment, and compliance within research programs.  

Prior to re-joining Emory, Randy served as a Grants Management Officer at the CDC where he managed the pre and post-award administrative and compliance functions of federal grants and cooperative agreements. 

Randy received his BA in English/Creative Writing from Emory College, his MBA from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University, and his MPH from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health.  He is a Project Management Professional (PMP).
